If you just want to play the game and are not computer savvy I'd say stay away from this game and this company (EA) because if something goes wrong with your install or it's anti-pirating software messes with your computer you...are...screwed. If you think you know your stuff then go for it.
Securom 7 installs with Crysis warhead. This Securom is installed covertly, is unable to be uninstalled without advanced knowledge of your operating system (see first paragraph), its not worth the hassle and I personally wouldn't give my money to a company that puts malware on my computer 'for pirating protection'. Hackers who don't pay for the game get to play malware/Securom free.
Don't bother buying a game with either Steam or Securom (DRM). Reviewers that say this DRM is 'no big deal' sound suspiciously like EA employees. EA wants you to pay to rent this game as you cannot resell Crysis. If Crysis didn't have DRM I WOULD GLADLY HAVE PAID FULL PRICE FOR THIS--as it is, I will find a cracked version and bypass EA's 'pirate precautions' and I don't feel bad about it at all. This game is in a class all its own.If you have the system to run it,does take some tweaking but man is it worth it. I run a core 2 duo @3ghz not overclocked 4gb mushkin extreme ram 800mhz and a EVGA 8800GT Overclocked and get 30+ fps at full settings on DX10 in Windows Vista.So to sum it up you have to have a pretty beefy rig but for those playing todays games you should already have what you need great i highly covet this game as the best we will see for a long time.

Let me start by saying thank you all who posted the warning about the d ram on this product .
I have no sympathy for multimillion and billion dollar industries crying theft while picking the pockets of their constituency.
I'm captain of the assault team in the Pub clan we are in fact the number 1 UT assault team in the world and the clan supports a number of game types from TAM to UT3 Warfare [...]
I mention all this becouse I was about to introduce crisis as a new game type in Pub so naturally I was thinking about purchasing a number of copies of its expansion warhead but now that I've been made aware of this greed based stupidity I'm just going to scrap the whole project and forward the warning to rival clans.
So thanks again for the heads up , and thanks to Amazon for providing this forum and allowing the benefits of free speech to prevail.

Can anyone shed light on why Crysis & Crysis warhead won't install on my gaming laptop. i have all the space / gamecard / hardware requirements to meet it and Crysis wars even installs and plays but the other main games do not. this pisses me off.
Can't wait for Crysis 2 to hit the PS3. That can't come soon enough

This game is a lot of fun. I don't know if this or Halo came out first, but they remind me of each other (Guy with super human abilities in an amazing power armor suit, fighting Aliens/Monsters. The only real difference is this one takes place on earth, instead of in space). The Graphics are AMAZING if you have a good video card/GPU. I have an ATI HD 5870, and I can run it at 1920 x 1080 4x AA with everything else set to very high, at 20 - 30 FPS. With this being the Maximum edition ( 3 disks, the other two are Crysis Warhead and Crysis Wars) for under $40 it's a really good deal.
The only negative thing I can find to say is that it doesn't have any sort of auto update, you have to go online and find the patches yourself. Honestly this isn't that big of a deal, but just thought I'd mention it because EA usually has something like that.
